VISION STATEMENT:
"An Association of Consultants Providing Forensic Services"

ABOUT FEWA:
Forensic Expert Witness Association was founded in 1994 in Orange County, California, and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1996. The Los Angeles Chapter was formed in 2001, the San Francisco Chapter in 2002, the San Diego Chapter in 2004, and the Sacramento/ Sierra Chapter in 2005. In 2007, FEWA expanded to a national association with the addition of the Dallas, Texas Chapter with Houston, Texas and Chicago, Illinois being the most recent additions in 2009. FEWA is dedicated to the professional development, ethics, and promotion of forensic consultants in all fields of discipline.

STATEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL GOALS:
FEWA has brought together a diverse group of professionals sharing common goals related to forensics. The association offers to its members the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and techniques required to perform in an effective manner.

• To educate members at regularly scheduled meetings as well as through lectures, seminars, publications, and other means
• To increase awareness in the legal, insurance, and public sectors of the existence of the Association and the services offered by each of its members
• To provide, for the membership as well as the prospective client, an effective referral system to bring together the client and the appropriate consultant
• To develop a system of standards and ethics, policies and procedures, and other tools needed in the course of their forensic work
• To promote the professionalism of the Association and its members by fulfilling each commitment prescribed by the Code of Ethics adopted by the Association
